Hello friends, we're only two weeks out from our dinosaur park adventure and can't wait to see you all there! We want to make sure you all can get here and have an awesome time, so watch social media (Twitter or Telegram) over the next few days to see some information about things to expect, and some changes to our usual events.
First things first, make sure your reservation is all set! The waitlist option for hotel rooms was new this year, and a surprise to us. We've received some questions about the waitlist process, and it is indeed a little confusing. You may have received an email that somewhat looks like a reservation confirmation, but is only an acknowledgement of the waitlist. See the hotel page for details, but we want to make sure everyone double checks their reservation for MCFC 2024!
Also new this year, the hotel has installed parking gates! There will be no cost to park at the hotel during MCFC weekend, but we will still have to work with the gates. We've put together the information into the parking & travel page so that you'll know what to expect.

You might have heard that the Dealers Den is moving from where it was in previous years, in the convention area upstairs, and will now be in the outdoor pavilion (where Bingo was last year.) Well if you haven't, the Dealers Den is moving and will now be in the outdoor pavilion!

It's time to start planning out what you're going to do at MCFC 2024! Scheduling your convention weekend down to the minute always works out, right? (Hint: It totally doesn't. But you can still list out what you want to try to do!)
If you haven't yet, check out this year's schedule of panels & events:
My favorite thing to do, if you're logged in to the site, is "star" the panels you're interested in and create yourself a custom schedule.
While you're at it, check out everything else in the "At The Con" menu above. That way you know what's happening in the Tabletop and Video Gaming rooms, the DJ Schedule if you want to dance, the Fursuit Dance Competition and Floor Warz details if you really want to dance, the Artist Alley info if that's more your speed, and everything else around the convention.
And last but not least, it's time to get those registrations in! Pre-reg pricing is set through March 27th. You can still register online after that (even up to and during the convention) but that's when the at-the-door rates kick in. So register now!
There's still one last week in 2023, and were's hoping you get spend those joyous moments with your friends and family, or even some quiet time just by yourself if that's more your speed. As for us, we still have our eyes on 2024 getting everything ready for you for April! First on the docket...
In 2024, MCFC will no longer be requiring COVID-19 vaccination to attend.
You are of course still encouraged to keep up to date on those routine vaccinations. But we won't be checking those cards this year.
As always, if you're not feeling well before the convention resting up at home is the best bet. All of your friends will love you all the more for it. It's no fun missing a convention, but it's far less fun trying to travel or attend one when under the weather. Like the Code of Conduct says, if you're feeling ill before MCFC please stay home.
The submissions are in! A big thank you to everyone that contributed something for the schedule! I see some great ideas on that list. Reviews are in progress, and you should hear something soon.

I keep hearing that MCFC has become birdcon. Maybe it has to do with being in spring and migratory paths or something. Well whether or not you have feathers, Early Bird registration pricing closes soon! Get those registrations in by the end of the year:
It's that time again! Panel and event submissions are now open! Remember, most of what's on the schedule at conventions comes from people like YOU that have a skill to share or just a fun or interesting idea for a panel. The form will be open through December 11, so let us know what we should have at MCFC 2024:
P.S. Some of our previous materials said MCFC will be from (Thursday) April 4th - (Sunday) April 7th, 2024, but officially we're that Friday through Sunday. While we'll have some things for you to do if you arrive on Thursday, as we traditionally have, it won't be a full day of programming. Sorry for any confusion!
