Hello, travelers! It's almost time to start your hitchhiking journey (if you haven't already!) to MCFC!
As you pack those suitcases and prepare those adorable fursuits, here's some tips to help make your convention a success:
Here's another reminder to review the Parking / Travel page for those details, especially if you're staying in the main hotel. Remember you can get a weekend pass which will save you a few bucks if you're staying Thursday - Monday.
And, if possible, if you know anyone else nearby that's going, carpooling will help save on that cost, and ease the headache of trying to find a spot! You'll want to arrive early, in any case, as the lots are expected to fill up.
If you haven't registered yet, there's still time! The reg staff have been keeping the printers going extra long this year, and are expecting to continue printing until: Wednesday, March 26th at 3:00 PM Eastern. Which is to say if you want to be able to pick up your badge in the Thursday pre-reg line, get that registration in now! That's about 20 hours after this blog post goes out.
You can still register any time after that, but your badge won't be available until registration opens on Friday.
If you haven't been to MCFC before, badge pick-up is easy!
No need to show us any confirmation emails or such; we'll just need to see your government issued ID. We'll match it in the system, and your badge will pop right up. Clip your badge to your sleeve for the rest of the weekend, and enjoy!
If you didn't pre-reg, no worries: You can register online any time before you get to registration. In fact, you can do it in line (if there is a line) just so long as it's in by the time you get to the registration desk!
You can pay with a charge card online, or a "cash" option will be available during the convention. Day passes will be available each day during the convention if you're only coming out for the day.
Go run through that schedule of panels and events once more, and take note of anything that looks interesting to you!

Some people really like to try to plan out every moment of their convention, down to the minute (though that often doesn't seem to work out!) Some people like to plan nothing and go with the flow through the whole weekend. I suggest the middle ground: Note down the possibilities so you know what you could be doing at any moment, and then see where it takes you. There's no wrong way to do it, so long as you're enjoying yourself!

The video gaming department are trying to figure out which of their many games you'd want to see at MCFC! There's so many options, but only so much room on the truck.
So the team has just posted a poll where you can help decide! Check out the info on their page, and vote for the games you'd most like to play.
It's totally DDR, isn't it? Whatever it is, responses are requested by February 28th, so they can start planning transport!
The Hotel Info Page has just been updated with details on the available overflow rooms. If you still need a space, check those out!
In short: We have rooms available at the Fairfield at a special rate. The Hampton Inn is also available; we don't have a special rate with them, but you're welcome to check their usual rate through the provided link.
